What To Look For In Cannabis Heat Stress?

Leaves curl upright and appear dry with corrupted leaf edges. Over time the leaves accumulate dry brown spots with burnt leaf tips. If the issue continues, the brown coloration can continue down the plant.

When heat stress takes place, the leaves appear unhealthy when you look at them and it may seem as if someone took a lighter to the plants. The heat stress accumulates over a long period of time and it can prove detrimental to the plants.

It’s very unsettling to have cannabis flowers appear they’ve been burnt by a wild flame. With attention to your plants, you should be able to revert them back to their normal healthy condition.

Is It Possible To Reverse The Effects Of Cannabis Heat Stress?

Yes, it’s possible to reverse the effects of cannabis heat stress. If your plants succumb to heat stress, it’s best to move the lighting higher and use air conditioning along with fans. When your plants have too much heat in the environment, they can become unhealthy.

After moving more airflow for more humidity to break through, monitor the humidity levels until it’s at the perfect gauge. A good gauge is between 30% to 70% humidity for the plants to thrive from their seedling to their flowering stage.

During the seedling cycle, the plants may need a higher humidity of 70% and lower levels of 30% in the flowering cycle.

A good humidifier can provide your plants with ideal humidity levels. By monitoring the levels throughout the plant’s life cycle, you may prevent heat stress from taking place.

You should also be giving your cannabis plants the appropriate amount of water throughout the week and the entire plant’s lifecycle.

Cannabis flowers need different watering amounts from the seedling stage to the flowering stage.

What Temperature Is Too Hot For Cannabis?

A high hot temperature of over 85 degrees Fahrenheit can harm your cannabis plants. They thrive in temperatures between 68 degrees to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you go over the temperature threshold, your cannabis plants can suffer the consequences. With high heat temperatures, the flowers can degrade and you can lose the essential elements from them.

When you take care of your plants through strict monitoring, you can prevent heat stress on the cannabis plants.

Many plants can grow successfully without issues taking place, especially if you’re growing autoflowers.
